Partner Voice is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized — it installs with no security warnings, even offline.

1. Install

Download Partner Voice.dmg, double-click to open it and drag Partner Voice into your Applications folder. Then eject and delete the DMG.

Moving to another Mac: send the .dmg via AirDrop, USB or iCloud and repeat the steps there.

2. First launch

Open the app from Applications — it runs as an icon in the menu bar at the top right, and you control it from there.

3. Grant permissions

macOS asks for them on first use. If not, enable them manually in System Settings → Privacy & Security:

Microphone — to record your voice.
Speech Recognition — on-device transcription.
Accessibility — to insert text into other apps. After enabling, quit and relaunch the app.

The keyboard shortcut uses the system Carbon API — it does not require “Input Monitoring”.

4. How to dictate

Click into any text field, press the shortcut (default ⌥M; change it in the app menu — choose from ⌥M, ⌥Space, ⌃Space, ⌥D, ⌘⇧D, F5) and speak. When you’re done, the transcribed text is inserted right at your cursor.

5. License

One license covers Mac and iPhone. Activate via the link in your purchase email, or try it free for 7 days.

System requirements

macOS 13 (Ventura) and later, Intel and Apple Silicon. On-device Whisper runs on Apple Silicon; on Intel use Apple Speech or OpenAI.
